Courtney combines her experience as a management consultant with expertise in a variety of tools and practices she has encountered in her own journey of self-development to offer coaching, facilitation, and consulting services tailored to the needs of the individuals and organizations she works with. Courtney is committed to helping all of us see how we unwittingly limit our lives and how to unlock more present, intentional, and richer ways of being in this world. Hallmarks of her approach include a warm and direct communication style; an awake mind and strong analytical skills; attentive and empathetic listening; grounding in the body; pragmatic tools and next steps; and masterful understanding of the Enneagram.
Experience
Courtney brings a depth of experience, both professionally and personally, to her work. Her own journey began as a consultant at McKinsey & Co., after having graduated from Yale Law School. She advised organizations on strategic initiatives and led large-scale consolidation projects in the health care and nonprofit industries for more than a decade and then took time off to raise her family. During her time away from the workforce, Courtney began to look more deeply at the assumptions, habits, and patterns she was bringing to her life choices.
Through her own work with teachers and coaches, Courtney began to realize that broader and more sustained transformation, for individuals and their organizations, was possible through unearthing, examining, and bridging the internal belief systems that each of us carries. Courtney has dedicated herself to living this practice and to guiding others on a similar path since.
Disciplines
Among the many disciplines Courtney has explored, none has been more formative than the Enneagram, which Courtney continues to study with renowned teacher Russ Hudson. Her approach is also especially informed by practices she has learned through master teachers of Conscious Leadership Group, the Alexander Technique, and the Work of Byron Katie. Courtney has a J.D. from Yale Law School, a masters in public health from New York University, and an undergraduate degree in mathematical economics from Wake Forest University.
CURRENTLY
Having lived in New York City for twenty years, Courtney now resides in Santa Barbara, California, with her husband and three children.
